Below you will find our most frequently asked questions about our vacation rentals and rules. If you have a question that is not answered below, please contact us here.

Are you open all year?

Our 7-bedroom home and our 3-bedroom home are available for rentals throughout the entire year. Our cottages are available for rentals from the last weekend in April until mid-October.

What day do your weekly rentals begin and end on?

Our weekly rentals run from Saturday – Saturday during our prime season. Prior to mid-June and after Labor Day we have more flexibility with our schedule.

Do you allow extra people?

We accept a limited number of extra people in the cottage with prior approval from the management. There is an additional per person charge.

What time is check-in?

Check-in is after 3 PM. On the day of check-in, you will be sent a code for your cottage or house door to arrive at your convenience after 3 PM.

Do you allow early check-in?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow early check-ins during our prime season.

Do you allow late checkouts?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow late checkouts.

What time is checkout?

Checkout is no later than 10:00 am.

What do we need to bring with us?

Coffee Filters, Tablecloth for Picnic Table, Garbage Bags, Food, Cutting Board, Extra Cutting Board for Fish, Charcoal, Grill Brush, Board Games, Books, Portable Radio. We will provide 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels and we will also line your trash bags. You will need to provide the rest after.

Do you allow day visitors?

We allow a limited number of day visitors at no additional charge with management permission. It’s important that we honor the experience of our other guests by keeping day visitors to a reasonable number as determined by the management.

Do you have a boat launch?

Yes. Our boat launch is shallow. It will accommodate boats up to 19ft in length. If you have a deep hull, your boat is wide, or you have little experience launching a boat you may wish to utilize one of the public boat launches. There is a public boat launch about 1-½ miles away. Our docks will accommodate boats up to 24ft in length. We have limited availability of the larger dock spaces.

Do you allow docking for more than one boat per cottage?

During our prime season we cannot guarantee more than one dock space per cottage. If you would like to bring more than one boat, please inquire as to additional dock availability.

Is there a swimming area?

We do not have a swimming area; there is a public beach with a lifeguard about 1-½ miles away.

Do you have a playground?

Yes, we have a play area. We have swings, slide, a volleyball net and a basketball hoop. We also have a croquet set and badminton set to loan out.

Do you have a fire-pit?

Yes.

Do you have cable TV?

Yes, we have cable TV. If you wish to bring a VCR or DVD player along, feel free to do so.

Do you have WIFI?

Yes.

Do you accept credit cards?

We can accept credits cards but try to avoid them in an effort to keep our costs down.

Do you accept pets?

No, we do not accept pets of any kind.

Do you have a fish cleaning station?

Yes, we have a wonderful self-service covered fish cleaning station (meaning you clean up after yourself). The fish cleaning station was expanded and upgraded in 2012 – we need more room for all those fish!

Do you have electric at the docks?

We are pleased to offer electric at the docks. This is excellent for charging your trolling motor batteries. There are also lights on the docks.

Can you fish off the docks?

Yes, we have a fishing/sitting platform on the docks. Fishing off the docks has provided our guests many hours of enjoyment.

What if I must cancel my reservation?

Cancelations made 60 days before your reservation will be fully refunded for the amount you’ve paid. Your refund will be issued promptly via check, ensuring a seamless process for you.

Should your plans shift between 59 and 30 days before your reservation, you’ll still receive a 50% refund of the reservation amount paid. Your refund will be issued by check.

While we strive to accommodate all our guests’ needs, we kindly ask for your understanding that no refunds can be made within 29 days of your reservation date. No exceptions, and your deposit will not be rolled over.

When is the payment due?

 For those who are already booked for 2024 and decide to pre-book during their stay, we’ve made it even easier for you to secure your spot for next time. Simply put down a $200 reservation fee, and we’ll apply it towards your deposit, due by January 15th, 2025. Then, you can relax knowing that the remaining balance will be due by April 15th, 2025.

If you’re new to booking with us, don’t worry! We’re excited to have you join us. When you make your reservation, just pay 50% upfront to secure your spot. The rest of the balance will be due 60 days before your reservation date, giving you plenty of time to plan and prepare for your stay.

Winter sports

During the months of January and March, we offer flexibility with bookings and deposits for snowmobiling and ice fishing. This is due to the unpredictable weather conditions that may affect these sports.
